What is social stencil?

Social Stencil is a 12-18 week social emotional skills program for building social skills, friendship concepts and conflict management strategies for grade 3 to grade 9 students.

Social Stencil can be delivered in classrooms by class teachers (our favourite way to capture everyone - those who need social support, those who can help role model, and those who fly under the radar especially). The program can also be delivered by wellbeing staff in classrooms, or small groups, or be provided to support education support staff in their work.

The pedagogy of the program is student led-teacher guided, and influenced by art education. You can read more about these theories below.

The social learning content of the program is informed by research in developmental development and social psychology. Read more about these theories below.

The program is scripted with step-by-step lesson plans and a complete set of downloadable materials.

Social Stencil has undergone research and development for over 15 years in Australia.
